First Person in Mexico to Earn AMI Practitioner Certificate!

Congratulations to Julia Ballesteros Senties, the first person in Mexico to earn an AMI Practitioner Certification in Montessori for Dementia and Aging.

Julia took the workshop with Jennifer Brush in Minneapolis and then studied with Jennifer for 6 months in the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) Certificate Program. Julia is a speech and language therapist who specializes in cognitive neuro-rehabilitation.  She completed her training as a Montessori Guide, with Reyna Babani, in 2013 at the Montessori Training Center AC in Mexico City. Julia is a wife and mother of three who lives in Mexico City.

The AMI certificate program is a great way to build on the information learned in the two day workshop.  The program is a mentored self study approach that meets online once a month for a lecture, question and answer time, and opportunities to meet and network with students from around the world.  Students complete required readings, in-depth case studies with people living with dementia, a short paper and a test.  The class is taught collaboratively by Jennifer Brush and Rev. Katie Norris.
