We are pleased to announce that Brush Development is the first Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) training center in the U.S. for Montessori for Aging and Dementia.
Jennifer Brush, an AMI Certified Educator, is the only person in the U.S. to offer the two-day Montessori for Aging and Dementia workshop, which is the first step to completing the AMI Certified Practitioner Course. A certificate of completion will be awarded at the end of the workshop. Participants will receive numerous handouts, as well as a copy of I Care: A Handbook for Care Partners of People with Dementia.

How to enroll in the workshop:
- Contact us to arrange to host the workshop at your care community. Please plan ahead and let us know three to six months in advance.
- Contact us to take the class one-on-one or in a small group via Skype at a time that best fits your schedule.
- Take the workshop at one of the Montessori Training Institutes in the US or through Fundación Argentina María Montessori (FAMM) in Argentina.

Interested in serving as a leader in Montessori and at your care community?
Pursue the AMI Practitioner Certification. To qualify to be an AMI Certified Practitioner for Montessori for Dementia, one must complete a minimum of 60 hours classroom and self-study of course work that includes:
- Attending and participating in the two-day AMI Montessori for Aging and Dementia Workshop.
- Understanding the principles and techniques for developing and implementing Montessori for Aging and Dementia
- Completing the required readings and passing an examination
- Successfully completing the assessment requirements which include developing case studies, creating materials, writing a paper, presenting and demonstrating your skills as a practitioner.
Improve Lives!
After successful completion, you will be qualified as an AMI Montessori for Aging and Dementia Certified Practitioner, to develop and implement this innovative intervention for older adults and people with dementia and to serve as a resource for others in your care setting.
The two-day AMI Montessori for Aging and Dementia Workshop and certification assessment requirements do not qualify you to teach or train others in Montessori for Aging and Dementia. An AMI Educator’s Certification is required to teach the AMI Montessori for Aging and Dementia curriculum.
